The Fox Transfer would normally be a good deal but Chiggle are selling the normal version for £99.99. Mine came with a lever (missing a clamp) but the listing says it doesn’t.

‘“You’ll never miss a visitor or a delivery again if you install this Ring video doorbell. Sync it with your smartphone or tablet, and you’ll get real-time notifications whenever there’s somebody at the door.”’

Our neighbours have one of these and all I can say is that they seem to use it as an excuse to ignore deliveries and anyone else who appears at their front door. Either the thing is useless, they are incapable of using it or they’ve decided to simply ignore anyone short of armed police. or the pizza delivery guy who, surprise, surprise always gets an answer.  I’m really fed up with taking in their packages then ringing on their stupid video door bell, knowing full well they are in, just so they can ignore me yet again. Just saying…

Shouldn’t the headline read ‘picks’ btw, these being multiple selections from several people? Jarring…

@badlywireddog – either refuse to accept their deliveries or just keep them and make them come round to your house to get them. Then ignore the doorbell 😀

@BadlyWiredDog, we find our Ring doorbell very useful, however if you are out and want to talk to the delivery man/woman its another matter. By the time it’s connected to the router sent a message into the ether, found your phone service and it’s called your mobile and you do the reverse to see the live feed, the delivery person is (most of the time) long gone.

My BIL thought so too. He only came round for a curry, I showed him the bike and he’s just snapped up the last size M in blue.

Is Black Friday done as a thing? I didn’t buy anything and no one in my household or immediate work colleagues appear to have either.

granted I made  a few silly CRC/Wiggle purchases as a result  of the fire sale, but judging by the amount of increasingly desperate emails I am getting “still 50% off act now!” I’m not convinced it is a success for many companies this year.

maybe shoppers are getting wise to the tricks of Black Friday, plus the obvious cost of living crisis?

I think it’s here to stay, but that people see it for what it is now.

Like you and many others probably, I’d already blown the budget on the Chiggle fire sale and cheap Five Tens from Evans.
