Hand Made Bike Show Bespoked Heads To Germany

by 0

After over a decade of successful UK shows Bespoked heads for the first time to Dresden, Germany, for its inaugural central European show on 13th to 15th October, 2023.

Bespoked has opened applications to its first central European show, in Dresden, Germany. This year’s central European edition of the show aims to lay the foundations for building a thriving culture of small independent bicycle manufacturers in central Europe, in the same way as it has in the UK over the last decade. Bespoked’s mission is to “celebrate and elevate independent bicycle makers, and build culture around the craft of small-scale bicycle manufacture.” Bespoked aims to show some of the best work in the world by presenting handmade bikes, and related brands, to new audiences, while working to promote diversity and inclusivity within our community.

There are hundreds of small independent manufacturers of super high-end bikes spread across central Europe, making incredible work that deserves to be seen! We want to bring these makers to the fore, and work with them, as well as a handful of larger and more established brands to bring the European handmade and independent bike scene to a global audience

Petor Georgallou, Bespoked’s creative director.

If you’re thinking about making the trip over, flights to Berlin from the UK look to be around £120 return, and there’s a fast train connecting Berlin to Dresden for £15 or less. Trains from London to Dresden are around £250 and take around 11 hours.

While you’re here…

I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones. More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
