Our new Singletrack Pom Pom Hats are here. Mark described these as a “Hyper Localised Personal Insulation System”, and he is right. We should register HLPIS as a trademark and market it as the pinnacle of innovation and the future of warmth. But we won’t because we have standards instead of creating new ones. It’s a hat, but a very nice one, with special powers. Read on…
This winter we have two new colour schemes for you to choose from.
The first is “Electric Lime”, because everything is electric now: bikes, dropper posts, mechs and even power meter pedals! Let’s not forget Bluetooth valve pressure measuring thingies too. All this in a world where electricity has never been more expensive (hat batteries not included, or required), and power blackouts are a possibility.
Your other choice is “Cherry Sorbet”, a colourful reminder of what you might have as a post ride dessert if it wasn’t so damned cold out. I originally mistyped the description and we had “cheery sorbet” hats. I really rather like the idea of cheery sorbet…. a jolly chilled frozen dessert flavoured with cuddles and bliss.
So, these fine hats will keep you warm in several ways. Firstly, because they keep you warm, literally. And secondly because when you treat yourself to a Singletrack hat you are supporting independent mountain bike journalism, and that will give you a warm slightly fizzy feeling inside.
Pom pom pom fizz fizz fizz.
Stay rad
Charlie
