Alex Marin announced that he is leaving The Brigade Team on Instagram this morning. This mid-season change sees him head to another team. There is a period during the season where riders are able to transfer teams.

Today, I announce my depart from @thebrigadeteam.
I feel like Iโm on a spot where I can achieve my goals, and the results I want. Unfortunately, I feel like the team itself is focused on developing a new bike and suspensions. This change is to make sure I can take care of being the racer I want to be.
So all I can say here is thank you to everyone that came along the way. Itโs been a hell of a ride!.
A new chapter in my life is about to begin, and I canโt wait to share it with you guys!

The Brigade Team responded on Instagram, “Team announcement: Alex Marin decided to leave the team during the authorised transfer period in early July. Have a nice ride @alex3marin Further announcement coming soon. Thanks.”
He’ll be racing in Maribor and we expect he’ll announce his new team in the near future. So for now, where do you think he’ll be going?

Then other riders whinge and moan when manufacturers ditch them – they can’t have it both ways.
Seems fair, it’s not like DH riders are likely to have a long career (unless Minnaar) so got to look after yourself in the limited time you have.
@robertajobb, would you be loyal to your employer, if you’d been offered a more suitable/better role elsewhere?
