Whether youโre keen to imitate your riding heroes, have a hankering for the early 90s, or just want to draw attention to your very good brakes, Magura has an opportunity for you: Raceline editions of its MT7 and MT8 brakes.
Usually reserved for the pros – presumably to make sure you know exactly which brakes theyโre using – this year Magura is offering normal everyday riders in Europe (but not the USA) the opportunity to buy these limited edition Raceline brakes in traditional neon yellow. That’s NEON YELLOW! Grab your sunglasses and read on.
Ever since Bart Brentjens won the very first Olympic mountain bike race in Atlanta in 1996, the neon-coloured brakes from MAGURA have been synonymous with pure racing sport! More than two decades have passed since Bart had his first HS33 RACELINE, followed by a yellow GUSTAV M and an MT7 today. These brakes are all still closely linked by one overriding passion โ the fight to gain seconds. Nowadays itโs the downhill stars Loic Bruni and Danny Hart or cross-country athletes like Elisabeth Brandau and Yana Belomoina who are pushing their personal boundaries anew with the famous MAGURA neon yellow and aiming to attain the Number 1 position on the winnersโ podium! #racingisyellow

I can see how the MT7 might slow you down at 2.5kg!
Love my Maguras but I wish they would improve the lever clamp
“Carbotecture” Who doesn’t love a bit of marketing-speak. What a time to be alive.
How MUCH!!!? (Someone had to say it)
@impatientbull oops!
So how much would you actually end up paying once it gets to a u.k shop?
@Sam Forward does sir have a spare kidney? ๐
Carbotecture: i.e. the flimsy plastic that fractures at the slightest knock (I ditched the plastic levers for shimano and the brakes are phenomenal!)
“Free delivery” , I should bl@@dy hope so at that price!
ยฃ100 less if your happy to have them painted grey instead of yellow
yeah, but yellow…
That crabotecture material is one of the worst I see in brake levers. Rarely do other manufacturers lever clamps crack like Maguras. Also their bleed utensils are pretty poor, they tend to leak oil all over the lever. 0/5 points overall.
