These are the top of the range enduro shoe from Shimano, with cleat recess designed to guide your foot perfectly into contact with your pedal. There’s plenty of protection from rocks big and small, with a reinforced toe and a large grit shield flap covering the tongue and speedlace. A raised inner heel should prevent you from doing those uniquely painful ankle bone bashes, and deeper tread on the heel and toe will let you hike-a-bike to beautiful places. That functionality is all topped off with a synthetic upper to shrug off the splashes.
This is no XC disco slipper, but since it comes in a rather fetching blue with pearlescent touches you might just be tempted to do a little dance of joy if you win these.
