Want to spend a few moments checking out some curvy CNC machined goodness? Then watch Stanton’s latest video to see what they’ve been working on behind closed doors.
Derbyshire based Stanton Bikes was one of the first steel frame makers to push the return of in-house manufacture. The brand, famous for building steel hardtails, now manufactures a range of steel bikes both with and without rear suspension at their HQ in Matlock, and just like any growing brand the Stanton crew have been experimenting.
In the past, we had heard rumblings of a carbon rear end for the SwitchFS full-suspension range, well in this video that lightweight, UK made rear end makes a brief appearance, but the star of the show is a new CNC machined backend.
The one-piece CNC machined component has functional benefits such as increased tyre and chainring clearance, but it doesn’t hurt that the hard-anodized unit looks pretty fantastic too. It’s also UK made, produced by Unite Components, better known for their stunning range of stems, pedals and other aftermarket kit.
Stanton still has some testing to do on the new backend but we’re sure there are already some SwitchFS owners making enquires already.
