Commencal Teaser, New Bike On The Way

by 3

An updated profile picture late last night suggests that there’s something new coming from Commencal soon – but what is it?

It’s dark, it’s moody, and it’s…silver? Titantium maybe? Or brushed steel? And what is that writing? There’s an A, but what’s next? T? I? X? And are those swoopy curves an M, or two mountains? AM TX maybe? Let’s have a closer look. Zoom and crop…

There’s a gap at the top of that right hand vertical line, so it’s not a T. But Maybe that left hand vertical line is a T, with the swoopy line making the top of the T, but also doubling up as an M, and then that horizontal line is part of an A, giving us AM TI X? All Mountain Titanium Xtra? Is that the weld of a titanium bike?

It’s getting a bit grainy at this level, but there’s that weld again, and a little peek of some internal cable routing. So it probably has a rear brake then. We wonder what else is out the back – boing, bling, boost?

And what about this text? We’re losing definition here. Maybe that’s a TA at the top…the end of ‘Meta’? A Titanium Meta? Who knows? One thing we know for sure is that part of it says Commencal. We’ll have to wait and see what it is…watch this space.

I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones. More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
