We headed down south to the Trek World Show in Milton Keynes to take a first hand look at the new bikes on offer for 2016, featuring the new Top Fuel 9.9 SL with those funny upside down forks.
Top Fuel 9.9 SL
For 2016, Top Fuel has made a comeback as Trek’s elite cross-country model- now in lightweight carbon.
The Top Fuel model was scrapped in 2012 to make way for the Superfly 100- but now American based Trek have re-vamped, renewed and reignited the popular (but very pricey) all round mountain bike.
The first thing you’d notice is the RockShox RS- 1 reversed fork design, which adds that all important stiffness.

The Top Fuel features Control Freak cable management, which allows the rider to create a custom set up with any combination of shift, brake, lockout and dropper post lines.
PRICE: £6,800.
You can see the new Top Fuel 9.9 SL in more detail here.
But before you go, here’s a sneak peak at some of the over stuff we were able to ogle at last Thursday:

Is it all about the colours then- be nice to be able to see the bikes in the photos, rather than a random tube or two.
Sorry for the gripe :-(
