by singletrackjay 2

Your once a week dose of retail therapy from Singletrack’s Premier Dealers, stockists and advertisers, Tuesday Treats gives you a quality serving of independent bike retailing and a chance to win big in this week’s prize draw.

This week, we’re revisiting: Singletrack Shop

Once in a while it doesn’t hurt to step back, take a deep breath and give your own trumpet a bloody good blow. Well, that’s exactly what Tuesday Treats is doing this week. For the exciting Spring/Summer ahead, our very own and mysterious Despatch Guy talks about events planning, t-shirt design and liquid refreshment.

Alcohol, beans, electrolyte, check!

What’s new?

Our new and improved online shop site was wrestled into a full redesign, from the ground up at the tail end of last year and we are now looking forward to continuing to populate it with classy gear that we are proud to have associated with our name.

Event wise, we’re very much looking forward getting up to TweedLove this year. We will be there with a box or three of everyone’s favourite trackside noise making device – premium quality and capable of clanging out many lovely dings and dongs!

Make some noise … Encourage racers to get a moooove on!

Good weather has teased us recently and for those days over the rainbow when the sun is shining, get ready to bear some arm flesh, slap on some factor 30 and enjoy t-shirt weatherTM.

The crayons are out and new designs are on the way… they’ll be lovingly printed onto 100% organic, fairly traded, gm free cotton t’s and will appear in store at the same time as bluebells in the woods!

New designs in the final stages

Like a tipple, enjoy caffeination, want to stay hydrated whilst you’re out and about? Well, we’ve got your back! We have beverage containers for work, rest and play. Our Mugs and Waterbottles are half price at the mo’ and our stainless steel, etched by laser! hipflasks can hold 6oz of your favourite mind altering liquid. Cheers!

Currently half price in the shop (donut not included)

We also host a virtual gateway through to actual paper copies of Singletrack Back Issues, so for those of a physical, collecting disposition can get their hands on Issues missing from their personal Singletrack library. I can confirm Issue 88 is now in the building.

How has this winter’s weather affected business?

What weather? For us hardy souls, we either live in, or travel into the Calderdale valley of joy on a daily basis. As most of you know, we know a thing or two about floods. We also often get to experience four seasons in a day… and that’s just managing the egos in the Editorial office I tell thee!

What events are Singletrack heading to this year?

We try our best to be represented in some capacity, at as many events as we can possibly drag ourselves to but in terms of getting your hands on most of our stock, our main exhibition gigs for 2014 are the London Bike Show, The Scottish Bike Show, TweedLove Festival, Fort William World Cup, Mountain Mayhem and Eurobike.

Other than us talking you through tech stuff and having stock on show, you will be able talk to the people that make your letterbox bang every few weeks and keep your Facebook feed full of riding news, reviews and inspiration.

How can we best stay in touch?

As smartphones and tablets continue to take over the way we digest our daily mountain biking content, we never miss a trick to ensure our readers get just the right amount of MTB dosage. Our conclusive Facebook and Twitter pages make sure you’re up to speed.

Lastly, what do Singletrack Premier Subscribers get from you guys?

By subscribing to Singletrack, our loyal readers benefit from at least 10% off Singletrack Shop products (more discount on some products).

All you do is log in to singletrackworld.com (using your registered username) and head over to the shop. The discount is taken care of automatically.

  1. Looking forward to seeing the new t-shirts, need a new one after a particularly nasty belgian shepherd attacked me and ripped it and me to shreds 🙁
