It’s the long dark lunchtime of the soul and if you’re trapped in work then you’ve got a couple of options; stare out of the window and see nothing or stare at your monitor and free your head for a bit.
First up we have this rather nice vid from Yann Kerveno. Olive trees, sunshine, sea – no, not Gaddings Dam, riviera of the North – it’s the riding around Cadaquès in Catalunya, Northern Spain. Lovely.
All things considered, the summer ended on a high for most of the country – a last blast of warm weather and sunshine before the on-off grey and rain arrived. It was also the last chance most of us had to escape work and squeeze in a quick unlit ride in evening light, which is exactly what Neil Wilson and Alex Balfour did, riding Zoom or Bust up Glentress way. To paraphrase, I love the sound of freehubs in the evening. Sounds like victory. Another neat edit from Calum Darling…

Talking of clicky noises, Mark from trials mag Clean Zine sent us a cool video tour of the Hope Technology factory over in Barnoldswick with that Danny MacAskill chap. It’s a nice behind the scenes look at a proper British manufacturer…
Moving full circle to the world of downhill, this edit from Chris Seager is a bit of a banger. Shot at the final round of the Halo British Downhill Series at Caersws in Wales, there’s dust, mud, motocross style roost and whips aplenty…
The inaugural Howies Coed Y Brenin Enduro took place a couple of weeks back, with riders tackling 30 or 60km of technical, man-made and natural singletrack in and around Coed Y Brenin. Hannah from Maia Media was on hand to capture the action…
Autumn means leaves, leaves mean drift and drift means excellent looking videos. We also reckon that team montages are the only way to start your videos at the moment, so this edit from Cycles Neron Specialized ticks all of the boxes…

This video is a bit of a stunner; downhill racers Ross and Stuart Wilcox talk about training, racing and cross country, plus get in plenty of pinning on the big bikes. Shot around Dunkeld by Dominic Simmons…
Spot of BMX now, with the Fiend riders pulling something out of nothing…
We’ll finish off with some super rad freerunning. As usual, things go down differently in Russia…
Thanks to everyone that send videos in for last week – if you’ve seen anything you reckon should be up here then fire it over to newsdesk@singletrackworld.com…

The Coedy Vid. Amazing!! Great editing and soundtack, want/need to get on my bike now.
Loved no. 2!
Great set of vids – ta!
How unusual to see Orange 5s at GT.
AAAAAGH straightlining the wiggly bit on Zoom or Bust, FFS! Some people won’t be happy til it’s a metre wide :(
Cadaque is a great little place – very pretty with gorgeous little villages. Worth going to the Dali exhibition in nearby Figueres.
Russian free running isn’t as stylish as the French efforts is it?
Cadaquès is abviously really lucky. I’m in a beautiful part of Southern Catalunya – Els Ports – but nearly all the trails round here are being systematically destroyed by Trials Motorbikes, uuuuugh. The riding should be amazing and the trails would have been out of this world a few years back. It’s so bad now I might give up mountain biking altogether.
