Madison to cease distribution of Commencal

by 3

We’ve just had news that, after five years of being the exclusive distributor of Commencal in the UK, importer Madison will say adieu at the end of this season. Madison say they will continue to wholeheartedly support the brand and the dealerbase throughout the rest of the 2010/2011 season, which will include the launch of the much anticipated downhill bike as being ridden by the Atherton Racing team in the up-coming World Cup.

“We have been through an exciting period with Commencal and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with their talented team but Madison has grown and changed significantly during that same period and now has different priorities to those in 2006 when we first started working together,” explained Madison CEO, Dominic Langan.

“We genuinely wish Commencal every success for the future.”

Madison say that they will continue to support the brand during the transitional period and that their priority remains with their customers. We expect that Madison will focus on their in-house brands Saracen and Genesis but there’s not news as to who, if anyone, will pick up distribution of Commencal in the UK after this year.
