Singletrack’s Midweek Mini Movies

by 14

Kicking off Midweek Mini Movies this week is a neat video from Nicolai. We’ve got a bit of cross training for your this week. What happens when you get a trials champion on a freeride bike? Some super technical uphill riding, and some super technical descending too.

And Chipps has insisted that we show the last couple of laps of the Koppenbergcross from the other weekend. It takes in the famous Flanders cobbles as well as some very sketchy off camber descents. And if that’s not hard enough, check out Sven Nys riding on a flat back tyre for most of a lap.

Next up, continuing the theme, we have a look into the world of bike polo. And Colin from Edinburgh says of it: “If anyone would like a game, we’ve been playing every Thursday night for about a year and a half in Edinburgh. This week we’ll be playing off Breadalbane street in Leith from 7.30 onwards. Any bike will as long as you’re comfortable riding it, we have mallets to borrow. and more details on Edinburghfixedgear.co.uk (until we get edinburghbikepolo.com fully built)”

Matt, meanwhile, insists you check out this sk8te video from Grant Taylor…

Back on track now and we have the final instalment of Trek’s ‘In Pursuit’ from the 2010 race season. They did OK this year did Trek, didn’t they? And with Aaron Gwin announced as Trek’s latest downhill signing, it looks to be an interesting 2011.

And some proper Scottish epic-ing in this huge loop of the Lairig Ghru from Neil Hodgins.

Sequel to the popular ‘Home’ film is the new one from Reset Films called ‘Find’. No big air, no huge booters, just some great scenery, great riding and great singletrack from all over the place.

Find -The Mountain Bike Film from ResetFilms.co.uk on Vimeo.

And finally… Taken from this forum post – some 1992 hardcore, hardtail downhill racing… Racing from the land of 150mm stems and white Porcupines…
