If you’re interested in the future of mountain biking access around Sheffield then you really should head down to The Lescar pub in Hunters Bar this Monday (1st Nov) at 7.30pm. Local advocacy group Ride Sheffield will have along representatives from the Eastern Moors Partnership and Parks and Countryside to explain their plans to develop the Eastern Moors and the trails development around Parkwood Springs.
There will also be a chance to discuss plans for Greno Woods, Lady Canning Plantation, Fox Hagg and (one of the Singletrack office’s favourite spots) Wharncliffe Woods, plus anything else trail access related you want to chat about.
It won’t be all business however, with a bike related quiz to win lots of nice prizes from local bike shops at the end of the evening and a little bike jumble sale at the start. It’s in a pub too, which always helps.
Here’s the timetable:
7.30pm – Arrive + Bike Jumble
8.00pm – Meeting
- Eastern Moors Partnership
- Parkwood Springs Development (Parks and Woodland)
- Greno Woods – Developing and funding
- Fox Hagg- Where we are at
