This is a custom built wheelset showcasing hubs and rims from two of RidingHigh’s brands. The Spank rims are aimed at the All Mountain and XC rider and are 25mm wide and weigh 460g. Strong and light with a ‘gravity riding’ style is the aim of the Oozy range and the rims have proved to be up to that promise.
The quality of finish is good and tyres go on and off easily. White is for winners remember, but they also come in black. Element hubs are a cheaper alternative to some of the more popular hubs on the market. Again the finish is really high quality and the freewheel buzz is pleasing without being mega loud. This set are 15mm bolt through front and QR rear and they can be converted to other standards with adaptor kits. Hubs are fully rebuildable and run on cartridge bearings. The front hub weighs 185g and the rear with alloy cassette body is 290g.
Overall: Classy looking freeride-lite for reasonable money.
