Grizedale Off Road Duathlon

Grizedale Forest Park, Hawkshead.

The event starts and finishes adjacent to Grizedale Bikes. The first run will be one 6.5km circuit climbing up to Carron Crag at 314m (1025′), the highest point in the forest. Taking in the panoramic views of the rolling forests and valleys before descending through the forest to the transition area. Both runs are on a mixture of singletrack and forest roads. The MTB course involves technical singletrack climbing and descending.

The MTB route is one 25km circuit incorporating the full North Face trail with additional challenging sections.
The second run is the same as the first except with someone else’s legs!

Relay Category for Pairs: One person cycles, the other runs.

Prizes:
Prizes for individual male & female, veteran male & female, & first team (3 to count). There will also be various spot prizes.

Facilities:
Grizedale bikes shop, bike hire, & service centre, Visitor centre & cafe, free event parking, toilets.

Entries:
Limited to 200 competitors, minimum entry age 18 years old. The event will be run under current British Triathlon rules.

Closing date:
8th March, 2010.

Individual: £25 British Triathlon members £28 Non British Triathlon members
Relay: £35 British Triathlon members £41 Non British Triathlon members
