Jim Walker & Co are pleased to announce the addition of performance MTB brand Sunn Bicycles to its already impressive brand portfolio. The company will be the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland for Sunn which are made in Saint Gaudens, France.

We will be announcing details of the 2010 range soon and the bikes should be available in certain specialist dealers in October 2009.

We are very excited to add Sunn to our portfolio. The brand appealed to us because it has a great history in real performance and high quality products. We have been working with them to produce a very competitive range for the UK market and we are very impressed with everything we have seen from Sunn so far. The line-up for 2010 looks very strong and on a recent trip to France to test the bikes we were blown away by the performance!

SUNN Marketing manager Clement BONNEAU says “As part of our International development, the UK market was key in terms of brand image and quality consumers. We have been working hard these last 3 years to bring SUNN back to the forefront of the bike industry by designing performance bikes and by supporting actively the racing scene. The opportunity to work with Jim Walker & Co turned up at a perfect time. They have established themselves as one of the leading and most professional distributors in the UK. We believe we share the same values for quality, performance and service. Most importantly the Jim Walker & Co staff is passionate about mountain bikes and ride. Needless to say, we cannot wait to be back in the UK market with the up and coming 2010 collection!”

I have been a writer for nigh on 20 years, a photographer for 25 years and a mountain biker for 30 years. I have written countless magazine and website features and route guides for the UK mountain bike press, most notably for the esteemed and highly regarded Singletrackworld. Although I am a Lancastrian, I freely admit that West Yorkshire is my favourite place to ride. Rarely a week goes by without me riding and exploring the South Pennines.
