Who would win a fight between an elderly and a disabled person ?

We’ve got stickers on the front seats of the buses saying “Please give up this seat to an elderly or disabled person” yet it says nothing about which of those two groups gets priority over the other.

So, if it came down to it and a young able bodied person gave up their seat to an elderly and a disabled person who got on the bus at the same time and it turned in to a fight, who would win ?

What you want is a war veteran card: iirc this is the top trump for bus fares and indeed seats in the Motherland.

The elderly would win fighting to the death (as they have little to live for except that bus seat) and fuelled by pure hatred and self righteousness.

Our local trains class 507 and 508,s for anyone intrested, have dedicated spaces and racks for 4 bikes, and two wheelchairs,in seperate ends of the first and last coach of each unit, yet trying to get the great unwashed to understand that thats what the spaces are for, not prams, kids areas,suitcase storage etc etc.

we need to get an understanding of the level of disability we’re talking about here. and while we’re at it, define old.

I thought ‘Do-gooder’ was usually referring to someone sticking their nose in where it’s not wanted or needed, thinking they’re helping but actually being a pain in the arse. Simialr to a ‘busy-body’.

‘Doing good’ on the other hand is highly commendable.

Picked an old bloke up once. Came out on a zimmer frame, he must have been 80+. He wasn’t going to the local day centre, he had to go to the magistrates court to make a compensation payment due to some bloke he glassed in a pub fight !
Ended up dropping him off at one of Cardiffs toughest pubs. No doubt he was going into start more trouble.
I wouldn’t want to fight him.

When i was a kid there was this old guy (in his 90s) who you used to see running every day. thought he was bonkers – running round in his string vest all through winter.

turns out he was a local boxing hero – came over as a Polish refugee and stayed – won loads of local competitions, few too many punches so all he did was train.

I reckon he’d have anyone even though he looked about 100! 😯

I would just to thank the US Senate for their compassionate approach to gun legislation which allows poor, unfortunate people such as the above Abernathy to continue their daily struggle to live a normal life
