one of my friends needs a headset for a gt avalanche frame. the headtube has a 'shelf' part of the way in so im pretty sure it needs an integrated one.

will any integrated headset fit or does it need to be a specific one with regards to diameter??

    Thanks for any help,
    James

Headsets to fit GT Ava is usualy refered to as a "semi-integrated" or "Zero Stack" (ZS), not to be confused with "internal" type.

There a Cane Creek as an example.

I fitted one of these in an 08 1.0 frame. Tricky bit for me was finding one that mentioned an OD of 50mm

works well and spare bearings are available.

This is cheapest I have found but out of stock at the moment. Superstar's Integrato has done wonders for mine (I know it's swearing to mention superstar on here) and the bearings are cane creek compatible.
