  • What size nut for rear axle? (non-qr)

    I have managed to lose the rear axle nuts for my fixed. What size are the nuts – I think they are a 17mm – does this seem right?

    as far as im aware they are a bike specific thread. you can get them from you LBS for about £4

    also its a 10mm axle.

    As in what spanner size? I’d say 15mm is more likely.

    Or do you mean thread size?

    spanner size is normally 15mm

    axle size is normally 10mm (on the rear)

    I was thinking of the nut that you tighten the cones against for the 17mm spanner
