Probably going for a ride at Glentress or Innerleithen tomorrow.

My mate thinks that the trails will be packed down snow and no good for riding, but I think it'll probably be fine, if just a bit slippy.

    Anyone been today or yesterday?

Try the Pentlands, We were up there at the weekend and met at least 40 other bikers, I struggle to meet 2 in the summer. plus more comedy snowdrift stoppies up there, in my experience both gt and innerleithen get packed down and icy too quickly and hike a bike to get to the top of the black so are not as much fun!

I suspect GT will look something like this:

That was a few years back – hard work but one of the most fun days I've had on a mountain bike.

Your mate is wrong. The average depth of snow is over a foot and the trails are a push. Selkirk, 3B, Yair etc will be no better.

they had an incredible dump of snow yesterday to add to the couple of inches that was already on the trails. I rode innerleithen on friday, didn't bother going above the top of the lower dh section as the snow got significantly deeper
