You’ve really never heard that word before? In this instance I assume it to mean that the wheel is failing to maintain contact with the ground over bumps.

Perhaps the suspension wasn’t set up correctly? Not enough rebound damping maybe?

yeh? Well I must admit I do love hardtails. But kind of feel that I am not improving my technical ability. Has anyone paid for Bike skill courses and if so, are they value for money? Lee Quarry looks awesome, but never been.
