I'm not having a pop, but I've never seen this on any other Forum I've used other than STW.
(Other than threads that aren't safe to open at work (adult content) etc. )
Why is it so popular here, it doesn't seem to add anything generally.

Sure I can, I found a case of Zipfer and a bag of pies in the kitchen, not sure how they got there, but after spending an hour or so with them, I'm certainly content

It's due to people realising there are some conventions to be followed that make you more easily understood, but not quite being bothered enough to learn how they work.
