…I’m rather pleased, <£90 for the bits I had to buy (brake, rear frame, rack, wood, forks)

I await your “so called” flaming.

Tyre logos don’t appear to be lined up. Otherwise flawless.

Good work Al, I want a shot!

DGOAB is concerned about the brake situation; the rear is not obvious from that pic…

stu I reckon you could fit all the cheese from your flickr account on there! 😛

Northwind I think you’ll find the tyre logos do line up!

Andy it’s a coaster brake, great fun for braking with no hands, but that requires a lot of care.

There’s far too much cheese here.

I do apologise! Hard to tell from the pic but I will take your word for it.

Well in that case, it is the ultimate bike.

Drill, angle grinder, router and a saw! That’s an impressive bike building kit!

iDave, Panda flaming aside, they’re lock-on grips so I reckoned I’d be OK.

Stu – nice hat, you’re right tho, way too much cheese.

    NW – agreed.

Anyway here’s a pic of it in action (even less finished, and even now I need to add a couple of struts and boots for more rigidity), after carrying a desktop PC and my courier bag on the other side from Balerno to Joppa – a distance of 13 miles.

Does look a little low in the middle, much pedal/ground clearance?

    Stu – nice hat,

Nowt to do with me i just took the picture while i ate my own body weight in cheese.

BTW it looks a bit betterer in the dark of the second picture. 😀

NW – well spotted, ****ed up the geometry for aesthetics! Rides OK on the road though…poor pedal clearance for taking it down the stairs in my flat tho 🙁

stu it was more a comment on the people you choose to associate with.

Juan do you mean the broken disc mount debacle?

You just need to get busy with a chisel and build an internal cheese tool holder now.

I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I don’t think it worked!

You think it looked better beforehand?

I am rather fond of “daddy Frankenbike” I have to say.
