I can’t link to it but NASA have a load of info about the superbloodmoon and the eclipse.

The Moon looks completely normal to me, it’s bright because it’s a very clear night.

The blood-red eclipse is due to begin at 1:10am

EDIT : My mistake. Apparently it’s 30% brighter because it’s only 226,000 miles away.

EDIT 2 : That’s 30% brighter than when it’s the furthest away, not 30% brighter than normal.

It’s bigger too, because its in the perigee part of it’s elliptical orbit.

It’s bloody huge. Wish I’d time take a pic but was in a hurry to get home.

Other than appearing pretty bright it doesn’t appear that different to me. I suspect later on during blood-red eclipse it will be quite stunning.

The moon will be completely within the shadow from 03:11 to 04:24. The eclipse ends when the moon leaves the shadow at 0624.
