  • Strange grinding noise when in a certain gear….what is it

    When my front gear is in the middle ring and the rear gear is 4th down from the largest there seems to be a annoying grinding noise like its dragging on something… I have looked both ends and can’t see the chain catching anything, it’s all clean and lubed so it baffles me! Only happens when I peddle, coasting it’s fine… Any ideas? Soon as I knock it down a gear or up one it’s silent…

    Yr front mech is set up too high maybe?
