Ok, recently heard A New England by Kirsty McColl (sp?) and it got me thinking. I remember hearing that on the radio whilst having a bath before going out, and had to buy it the next day, which I did; so….

What have you heard then HAD to buy?

Kanye West, Jesus Walks. Don’t like any of his other stuff.

    Levels by Avicii.

The tune is very catchy and the video makes me laugh.

Years ago I heard The Cinema Show by Genesis and I just had to buy it -changed my whole outlook on music. Recently heard Granny’s House by Samantha Whates on a video on here and, now that the CD is out, I will be buying it.

    “What it’s like” by Everlast.

    Bought the album.

I did the same, but it’s something I do quite often. The Felice Brothers was another example (which incidentally worked out to be much better than Everlast)

playing in Virgin Records in MCR in 1979 so bought then took it to the address of the record company on the back and got it autographed by the singer who was there at the time.Oh and the label on the disc is a misprint showing an Elvis Costello track instead.

This as used to be on in the gym I trained at a lot; a bit different to my usual thing – rock music. (Warning contains use of the word that a black person can use but a white person can’t)

I heard Jesus Built My Hotrod by Ministry at full volume in a shop in Reading in the early 90s – I just had to buy it there and then – still listen to it today
