Frame, forks and cranks from classifieds, rest either the bay, new or bastardised from old build.
Wheels built by Jim Davage at Bike City in Wells.
Love riding it.
Kona grip fail: on the wrong sides aren't they?
wheres the rear hose going on that kona???
Any Excuse!!!
I'll post mine (Swift) once it's built
In the mean time, anyone seen any good deals on 29er inner tubes - best I can find is £5 each (inc postage) - I'm after four of them.
well you asked for it......

how you finding your giant, singlecrack?
Had mine two months and have only managed 2 rides on it so far!
Trek dealers were doing 3 tubes for a tenner
Liking that Giant rather a lot

straight after the build
now very soiled, I love it
and
flatfish
.....loving it
....so fast when you get used to the handling..its not point and shoot like my 26er you have to think ahead more.
but its a different type of bike ..faster up hill by a long way though.
rOcKeTdOg - how are you getting on with maverick forks?
rocketdog,
are them forks 29er specific or do 29er wheels just fit it them?
OK, so who's using 26" tubes in their 29er - one of my mates just told me that's what he's been doing for the last couple of years without trouble.
sorry, tubeless here
i have a 26" in the front
My new one:

26" tubes are fine. If you REALLY need 29er tubes I may have a couple I can part with now one of my bikes is tubeless. Bike Jumble on Saturday?

you need to fit 29er kit to the forks to stop the tyre fouling the arch
Ta TooTall but think I'll just use 26" as it saves having yet another different inner tube type (already got fed up of carring road, cx and 26" mtb tubes and just use road ones in the CX bike).

is that the 25mm spacer?
Williams Cycles in Cheltenham are doind 3 WTB tubes for £10

I do like 29er's with sprung forks, I like 29er's with any fork, but a massive set of sprung forks sets them off.
Sam - I can't possibly think who would want one of those at the moment......
26" tubes in big volume 29er tyres in emergency only, they roll all over the place in my (one and only, never again! ) experience
they roll all over the place
Surely that's a good thing?
