I have a galvanised 30L water drinker for my chickens but the inside is starting to go a bit rusty.

I’ve sealed small petrol tanks with POR before but can anyone recommend something similar for a water tank that doesn’t cost too much?

Could you line it with one of the large water bottles possibly aquired from an office?

Paint the inside to prevent further rusting and butcer the bottle to act as a liner.

In know of a few bottles used like that on allotments.

make it like a balloon then insert the liner to the inside
All these answers depends on how much access you have to the inside

Very little, so a solution that involves pouring some sealant into the tank, swirling it around and letting it dry.

I’d just replace the tank with something that won’t rot or contaminate your chickens.
