My mate has been looking for a bike for his lad and has been offered one of the above by our LBS.
Any one ride one / had a go on one?
What are your thoughts.
LBS is recommending a 19″ for a 5’8″ lad of 14(still growing and his dad is 6’+). Seems a bit big to me I’m 5’7″ and like 14/16″s.

True, does seem big to me too.
5″9 on a 17″ framed bike.
Probably better to have a bike the right size or a touch small whilst still learning the skills. This may turn out to be a perfect bike for the lad when/if he grows into it but until then, no.
