    Hi all,

I’m looking for a roof-mounted carrier, of the type that the forks clamp into, rather than it clamping onto the downtube.

    Any recommendations?
    TIA

I have a Thule 561 which I have been very happy with, untill I got a bike with a qr15 fork, the adaptor (a simple tube) from thule costs £30 😯

Thanks, gab. I thought Thule may be the rack of choice (I have 591s at the moment) Just wondered what other choices there might be!

    Thule 561 for me too.

doctornickriviera – do you have any of that pipe going spare as I could do with a bit – happy to pay for it 😉

Doctor nick – not bolt throughs, just plain old fashioned QRs

Not feeling much love from THULE on this issue. I contacted their customer sercvices on the pricing of a piece of alu tube, but got the standard BS e-mail back. Fine i’ll take me custom elsewhere in the future.

Presumably all your forks are out of warranty?
