Nick Scott, Senior Active Travel Officer at Portsmouth City Council, is putting together the City’s Rights of Way Improvement Plan. He’s asked for feedback on four questions. He’s described the plan as an “aspirational document” so he’s looking for answers that assume enough cash and resources to achieve what’s needed at this stage.

    1. What are the main barriers relating to the existing rights of way network in Portsmouth?

    2. What are the main opportunities in relation to the rights of way network in Portsmouth?

    3. What do you see as the top three priorities in relation to the rights of way network in Portsmouth? (Please number these in priority order)

    4. Any other comments.

Nick has asked for responses by the end of August (31st), so there’s no rush but feel free to chip in now.

    Quick bump for this one.

Nick says that they’re holding this “informal consultation” phase open until the end of the month. The aim at this stage is to find out what people want and to get any good ideas in so they can incorporate them into the improvement plan.

The “formal consultation” phase will begin in the new year. That will be asking for comments on a draft document.

So, if you want your ideas incorporated, now is the time to offer comments.
