    Yes, vertical dropout is designed for gears.

    Mine came with geared and single speed dropouts.

    There isn’t a 29er Vertical Dropout Scandal, so his problems have only just begun…..

    thanks folks…druidh it is also a size 19 which confused both of us as we thought it was 18 or 19.5……….ahh fun and games
