do you lot who are 6ft+ and riding 18" frames have short legs? ive tryed numerous 18" frames and there too small even with the post right out to its limit?
There's a lot of seatpost showing in some of those pics - do you find you start wheelying going up hills?
I'm 5'8" so SHOULD have a 16" but I ended up buying 18" replacement, which felt much better... (70mm stem, 140mm forks)
I think they are generally ok with seatpost out as the design of the frame put enough weight over the front wheel on climbs
5'10, had a 16" first and sold it, replaced with an 18" which felt better, bit longer and bit more stable on downhills. Just sold and replaced with 18" carbon version.
@taka I have 32" inside leg which is pretty normal for a 6'2" human as far as I know, no ones ever said my legs are unusually short anyway...
it might be just me at 6foot 1" with 34" inside leg
C_G - does that mean you have it in both sizes??
5'10.5", 18", 400mm Seatpost (350mm too short). Wouldn't be able to go smaller without compromising XC-capability.
6'1" longish legs (not got a tape handy for measurements though)
18" frame with 410mm layback post, not at the limit, but lots of post out for road riding/spinning saddle height. (90's habits die hard)
Rides great, nice and chuckable on the downs, comfy and good layout for spinning up the climbs.
Went from a 20" Yeti which was good, but felt a little bit big on some tech stuff, steep rock gardens, drop offs etc...
tried a 16" which was ok for a blast about, but too small for all dayer stuff - plus looked liked a was riding a childs bike
Try both if you can
Why can't I see the other posts??
This frame (SH off here) turned up at 10.30 this morning and was built by 13.00 including 30 min for lunch
6'4" with a 20" frame, 80mm stem and layback post (in XC mode at the moment)
