I’m back at my folks in north wales for Christmas and wondering if anyone has any up to date information on trail conditions at Betws Y coed/Marin trail, Penmachno, Coed Y Brenin etc. Am looking to be out riding every day if the trails are good enough for it.

I’m looking to go somewhere on the 27th but unless the big thaw comes, I’d imagine things’ll be pretty hairy, and Penmachno probably the worst of all, which is a shame as it’s my favourite…

Hoping to get to CYB on the 28th for mbnw.co.uk’s xmas ride, so fingers crossed its open.

If I go and try anything I’ll update this with whatever I find. Anyone been out to any of them recently?

None of those will be rideable at the moment. There is supposed to be a thaw starting sunday according to the bbc, although there is a lot of snow to go.
