I’ve got an unpadded carbon saddle (one of the Selle SMP ones) that I’ve managed to take a chip out of and was wondering if anyone knew of any repair products to patch it up with?

Its a small dent, about 5mm at its longest, and right on the back of the saddle, so not in a place I’m overly concerned about. Just want something to smooth it over with to stop any wee sharp edges catching my shorts or anything else, and figured an epoxy or something was the best bet, but no real idea what I’m looking for.

    Cheers!

milliput epoxy putty is good and very easy to use. i have used it many times for cosmetic repairs on carbon.

Araldite… I’m told it’s quite similiar to the resin used for most carbon parts, though that’s a proper Internet Fact. But it will work well and might even add an inconsequential amount of strength.
