    How tough are they? I can’t quite help thinking of them as commencal-alikes, which is bound to be unfair.
    Convince me they can stand up to a bit of weighty use and abuse.

    Pretty tough, they’re designed to ride in he alps, so should be, I’m 6’4 no fly weight and ride a 2010 514, if you’re a bifter then maybe an orange 5 would be best. 😉

    I’ve been hammering the sh*t out of mine for 12 months now and i’m still very impressed

    I’m 6ft 4 and about 15 stone

    The wheels didn’t take much abuse and the frame cracked, but Lapierre sent me a new frame within a week

    Highly recommended!!
