    Ah – it looks like I’m not being very observant in my food shopping!! I always though hot cross buns were a seasonal thing, coming up to Easter. Obviously, I’m wrong.

    I’m not sure this revelation is for the best, though – I like the whole seasonal thing…

    Good trail food too, very resilient to being crammed into hydration pack and not drying out. And because they seem to be available all year round, especially at rural Co-op’s.

    Hot cross buns all year round here. Bloody lovely with real butter, although I don’t like currants/raisins.
