Ok, just picked up a new bike (the new halfords 1k jobbie) and its a 10sp.
So I'm looking to pick up powerlink (or similar) to fix any issues when out on the trail.

For some reason the sram 10sp powerlinks (powerlock) are ridiculously expensive. My question is which of the other brand links would be compatible? The cheapest I've seen is this. Never even heard of the brand, but the price is right.

I've seen KMC ones for either Shimano+KMC or Campagnolo

Would the "Shimano+KMC" KMC version work on a SRAM 10sp chain?

Cheers,

MDG

Buy this

It's worth it.

I run 10sp wippermann chains with connex link, really good. remember the sram powerlock is a one time use only! hope they do a 10sp powerlink sometime.

I have been told once the new 10 speed Sram ones are fitted i don't think you can take them off and re-use them, not sure if it's true.

The SRAM ones are powerlocks, not links, so use once.

These work fine: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=56349

Cheers guys. I know the SRAM ones are not reusable in 10 speed guide. Not too worried about that. Just looking for something cheap-n-cheerful to get me home in case of any chain disasters on the trail.

@HobNob Those clarks one looks perfect. Not sure how I missed them before ๐Ÿ˜ณ

To those who asked - I run them with SRAM & Shimano chains & no issues.

To be fair, I ran a 9spd one for a while & that was fine too!

I am running a 9 spd sram 971 on my 1x10 setup with no issue and have also used the 9 spd sram power link on a shiamo xt 10 spd chain without a hitch.
