Anyone from here doing any of the organised rides?

I’m hoping to get to the Forest of Dean one on Sunday on the Dune.

    I’ll be out on mine.

At least the forecast looks better than last year! That was an ‘interesting’ ride!

I’ll be heading for Swanage on Friday for the Charlie the Bikemonkey ride, followed by a Mexican meal, followed by a “cool sounds and psychedelic visuals disco”… what could go wrong and wisely I’m not due in work until next Tuesday. Hopefully we won’t have last year’s comedy winds……..

I might cycle to work on Saturday, after swapping back over to fat wheels, maybe even my new PX rear wheel if it arrives on Friday! 😆

Yeah, as Rocketdog says, most are on Facebook.
The global list is at the bottom of the page here… although the Forest of Dean one ain’t on there seemingly.

I am booked on aswell, but seem to have injured my back, which is a real shame as it looked a LOT of fun.

If you’re in reach of North Wales or over in the North West of England?

Head over along the A55 to Anglesey for a 10am ride off on Saturday.

If you fancy a December beach side bivi, there is a nice weather forecast for Friday night then feel free to join us for the evening & night as well, meeting up at 6pm at a pub before driving to the rides car park.

So if you fancy the North Wales Fat Bike ride at Newborough Beach on Anglesey and are unsure as what to expect then take a gander at one of my rides there and hopefully we’ll see you there:

I’ll post this thread on the UK fatbike FB & see if anyone can help

Copied & pasted from a quick FB search…

For those in the midlands that don’t wish to travel lots of miles for Global Fat Bike Day, I’m co-hosting a ride with Alan Seager around the wonderful area of Cannock Chase. It’ll not be the trail centre area, but the scarcer used areas known more to locals and the wanderers out there.

Place: Marquis Drive, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS12 4PW

    Date: 4th December

Time: 9am til can’t ride no more or everyone wants to go.

Reason: Global Fat Bike Day Midlands based

Mint day today in the Forest of Dean.
Had to be 60-70 fatties riding. Split into two groups but still a lot of congestion in the techy bits.

Had a big burp on a trail on the Dowies side, realised I’d only got a 650b tube in my pack, but a nice chap from Slam69 gave me a tube. By the time I’d got it back up with my TINY pump, everyone had buggered off, all except for a chap (sorry dude, forget your name) who waited for me and rode back to the start with.

Good to meet Cheeseybeanz of this forum.

Gorgeous weather and great trails. 🙂
