So, at some point I’m going to be modifying a frame to take an internal dropper.

Initially I’d planned to create 3 holes for internal grommets, but I’m now thinking one grommet on the seat tube to route the cable inside and two or three external cable mounts fitted to the down tube to route the cable externally to the seat tube.

I’ve found grommets, anyone got any links to any external cable clamps that I could fit.

Also, reassure me with your frame drill / dremel success stories, please.

Weeksy – a keep it simple approach I’d over looked!!!

I guess I could even super glue them on.

I may well take you up on your offer, the bikes not with me yet, once it is I may well PM you a request. Many thanks.

They’re sticky, it wasnt the sticky bit i had issues with it was the was the roundy bits hook in, they were a bit crap. I was going to use cable ties but i’d already stuck them on without threading the cable ties through.

There’s others that may be slightly better for getting cable ties through on Ebay but these, they kinda work.

Ragley bolt on cable guides, attach to bottle cage mounts.

This is what I do on my Solaris which I drilled the seat tube for an internal dropper. Bottle cage over the top.

‘P’ clips to attach to bottle cage bolts & bosses…..

And these ‘M part’ or similar cable/hose guides – self adhesive for round tubes but I stuck them on with Sugru to miss4real’s hard tail to run a dropper hose under the top tube that had a flatter profile.

There’s a frame building suppliers, ceeways I think, who sell rivet on cable guides. Used them on a few frames. Keep away from the weld areas and I’ve Bern okay, no frames have exploded.

The Ragley cable guides are very neat. If you have bottle cage mounts then I’d opt for those.
