I finished 34 sessions of radiotherapy last Wednesday and I've just returned from my first (gentle) ride in one piece.
Now all I have to do is regain some fitness and some of the stone and half of weight I've lost. ๐Ÿ˜•

Being back riding is great news Dibbs ๐Ÿ™‚

The fitness etc will come in time, I'm sure.

[edit] try spinning a bit more 60 is pretty low cadence ๐Ÿ˜‰

60 is pretty low cadence

It's a pretty steep hill and I ran out of gears ๐Ÿ˜‰
I was pleased to get up there without stopping. ๐Ÿ˜€

Well done as someone whose had treatment I know it can be tough to get fit again, hang in there and listen to your body. Remember that your body's been though a lot and that rest is a valid part of your training/fitness plan! ๐Ÿ™‚

Slaps back in a not too hard sort of way ๐Ÿ™‚

Putting weight back on is brilliant. More cream on your breakfast cereal? I think I might just thank you

I don't think I could have done better as I am just trying to get back into it and I haven't just finished radio therapy.

Spectacularly good news, have to see if I can keep up.

34 sessions of radiotherapy
Presumably you won't need lights for night-riding then !
Congratulations on getting through that lot

I've just got back from my second ride, it's taken me 4 days to recover from the first (easy) ride ๐Ÿ˜ณ hopefully it won't take so long this time.
The radiotherapy has killed a lot of my saliva glands and the dry mouth is quite unpleasant, I think the Camelback will be needed even on short rides.

Well done that man.
You've done more miles in a day than I have in a week. ๐Ÿ™‚
