Ordered something from Wiggle a few days back and the next day I got a text from City-Link telling me that the item would be delivered on Wednesday 21st Dec 2011 between 07:30 and 17:00.

Get home Wednesday night and nothing has been delivered or attempted (mother-in-law was in all day childminding).
I log on to their website and it reports that it is ‘In Our Network’ and the logging shows it was scanned at the collection depot at 12:49 on 20th and at 01:37 on 21st it was ‘In Our Network’.
Looks like it is still on-track for delivery – but nothing…no attempt and I’ve been hanging on hold for 45 minutes 4 times now.
I realise it is Christmas and they will be snowed under…I wasn’t expecting such a fast delivery – Wiggle suggested between 2-5 days but I actually got a text from the delivery company telling me when it would be delivered and it hasn’t delivered.
I just want to find out why not…surely with the increase in volume they would have texted with a manageable date?
Not really a rant (other than being told when it will be delivered and it wasn’t and not answering the phone) – I guess they are busy but they could do much better at suggesting when delivery will be made.
I’m not driving the 30 miles to the depot to collect a £10 item so I’ll be waiting but it confuses me that they say something and it doesn’t happen.
Anyway, don’t feel any better or worse but felt the need to tell someone who was daft enough to read all this!
