But Vettel, Webber, and Alonso, and Hamilton all together on the grid.
Corrected that for you!

We needed that after more redundancies were announced this week , knowing Frank he's probably sold nico already!
Don't kid yourselves that Hamilton's some goody-two-shoes British sportsman who'd never cheat. He lied to race officials in Australia, and has been penalised for several incidents such as blocking during qualifying, and the safety car incident this year in Valencia showed that he's as wily as anyone. He'll do what he can to get an advantage, as would any driver.
Which of course I never said otherwise. Just pointing out the rookie is as good as the champion. Certainly learned some lessons from him. Of course he's a champion now as well.
No, carry on with Alonso as your pantomime villain.
I wouldn't call him a pantomime villian...I'd call him a racing driver that along with all the other drivers on the grid have a single minded determination to succeed. It's just some throw their toys out of the pram when they can't get their own way.
I'm sure he's bothered.
The key point about Hungary was that he tried to blackmail mclaren into doing what he wanted. That for me is what I have found to be very negative about him, particularly since he was perfectly happy to be involved in the espionage and knew full well what was going on. As to it being reasonable to expect number one status that's patently wrong McLaren haven't historically worked that way, at least not to that extent and certainly not when one driver hasn't established superiority over the other.
Speaking as an ex-Alonso fan fwiw. Nothing to do with the media either.
It's just some throw their toys out of the pram when they can't get their own way.
Like Hamilton swearing at Ron Dennis, Hamilton moaning at his mechanics for not making the right tyre choice, whining whenever Button has been faster than him, etc.
Anything you can do, I can do better....
I thought you weren't talking to me anymore?
Am I not? Dunno I can't remember. Who are you?
Does anyone else get the impression that Massa's heart isn't totally in it this weekend?
Home track where he always flies, home crowd that won't tolerate him bending over for Alonso, a local judge putting more pressure on him by saying he could be jailed if he takes a dive & Ferrari expecting him to sacrifice his position if needed.
Better off being a bit mediocre this weekend & staying well & truly away from the front
Massa is a confidence driver don't reckon he's ever been great when up against a driver who's performing better than him.
The key point about Hungary was that he tried to blackmail mclaren into doing what he wanted.
So, Ron Dennis himself makes no such claim. IE, it's just media-generated vitriol against Alonso. Fact is, only Alonso and Ron Dennis really know what went on there, so any speculation is pointless. Perhaps if relations hadn't deteriorated between the two, then Alonso probbly would've won the DWC.
In the last few races, Alonso has shown himself to be a true great. Hamilton on the other hand has made mistakes under pressure, and shown that he's still got a lot to learn. Both are brilliant drivers though, and IMO, probably just a bit better than the rest. Cept maybe Vettel. Definitely better than yer Webber, Button etc.
Tomorrow is going to be fun...
So, Ron Dennis himself makes no such claim. IE, it's just media-generated vitriol against Alonso
So why did Alonso leave a team that could have given him more championships? If him and Ron had kissed and made up there's no way he would have spent 2 years stuck in the midfield back at Renault. No smoke without fire as they say.
No question that Alonso is a fantastic driver, one of the greatest. He's made plenty of mistakes too this year though but quite sensibly he's pointed out that they've all made mistakes this year because it's so close and there are/were so many drivers in contention.

Alonso did threaten McLaren withdrawn or not. He was also well aware and involved in the espionage. Enough for me to think less of him as a man. Similar for Lewis after various events fwiw though I can mitigate some ( the earlier ones ) to a small extent due to his relative youth/inexperience at the time.
Because he believed that Hamilton would be treated as the No. 1 driver, and din't want to be No. 2. Nor should he.
Anyways up; Alonso has driven brilliantly to drag himself back into the frame for the WC. Thus pissing off the British media and haterz.
Because he believed that Hamilton would be treated as the No. 1 driver, and din't want to be No. 2. Nor should he.
Used to make silly claims at Renault too. Still not an excuse.
He's certainly earnt his position (less 7 point
) though
Thus proving that he can't cope in an environment where he isn't top-dog. He started turning the screws on Massa from race one this year, and much to my disappointment Massa has caved in. Massa is now the perfect whipping boy as I doubt he'd get another top drive anywhere else so he may as well make the best of his last few years in F1.
Alonso is an excellent driver of that there is no doubt - and I don't hate him, but I'll never have respect for him and the way he goes about his racing.
He's certainly earnt his position (less 7 point ) though
Kovalaainen moved over for Hamilton at least once while he was at McLaren. So what's you point, caller?
I'll never have respect for him and the way he goes about his racing.
I do, precisely because he's a ruthless bastard, which you kind of need to be to be WC, really, let's face it!
Kov never moved when he was matching lewis' pace. Besides I was only trolling you
Yeah well; every accusation levelled at Alonso can be equally levelled at Hamilton, and perhaps with even more justification.
So shut up hating, and enjoy the racing, innit?
Besides I was only trolling you
No, you just know you're out of your depth, when you're up against the Best.
He's a ruthless No1 driver though, I don't think anyone else has ever got a team mate to deliberately put their car in the wall.
Sighs
Yeah well; every accusation levelled at Alonso can be equally levelled at Hamilton, and perhaps with even more justification.
I didn't see Hamilton block the arrival of the current world champion, especially as he had a 'perfect' No2 already in situ.
Enough of the wibbling, haterz.
What I want to see is a good race, with no-one dropping out because of mechanical failure, and hopefully no-one crashing out either. Just a proper race. All the drivers still in it have made mistakes or had bad luck this season. All of them deserve it.
So, unwind, untwist yer knickers, relax and enjoy!
I reckon.....that today will throw up
a number of suprises, with things not going to plan for some drivers in the title fight. Not really sure as to what that'll be but we'll soon find out. Should be a corker. Not sure as to go for a spin around dusk, in richmond park, have a pint at the Robuck and watch the sunset, then iplayer, or watch live and miss the dusk view...hmmm.
Live would be ideal i spose.
Nah go out, have yer ride, get the buzz from that, then record it or iPlayer it later. Make sure you avoid any situation where you can inadvertantly find out the result though...
I'm off to a mate's in Catford; he's putting the Scalextric together as we speak!
I'm so excited!!
Thinking your right there Elf, would like to catch some autumn colour too...it is getting very exciting! Just watching the Q3 session yesterday had my pulse raging.
C'mon Webber! Best of luck to a compatriot
(even if he does live in Italy or wherever the fook it is
)
So - what odds on Hamilton nerfing someone off with an overenthusiastic lunge?
Good move by webber.
SHUT UP LEGARD!
Lapped on the 10th lap!
Massa to slow the Red Bulls down on the pit stop?
TandemJeremy - MemberSo - what odds on Hamilton nerfing someone off with an overenthusiastic lunge?
Resisted the temptation twice - well done. Backed out of potential incidents.
I'll be honest, I can't see anything changing today, except for mechanicals.
Loving Lewis' radio broadcasts - I've got no grip
My f-duct isn't working... F-duct is working fine Lewis...
He's definately having an off day today. Should have taken webber in the first corner and should not have let alonso past so easily
The best of the racing seems to be with the middle of the pack, some great close action there
Lap 50: "My tyres are not in good shape," says Hamilton. He really is not comfortable. From BBC.
Still looking for excuses.
