got the option of upgrading my mint force (3yrs old) shifters and rear mech for red. I will have to add a bit of cash after selling the force set and paying the difference but in real cycling terms is there is any difference in performance apart from weight and pose value ?

Particularly with new Red coming out soon I’d not bother, if nothing else the old stuff will go cheap.

Gore cables and a Ti bar clamp bolt I think. I’d not bother, In fact I didn’t! had the choice between the two and opted for Force everytime in a bang for buck basis.

Not really any. We put Force on all our super-expensive Look frames.
