Is it just me? I have BB7 calipers and Shimano centrelock rotors on the SS and blimmin' 'eck they howl!

Any cure, other than getting some centrelock to six bolt adaptors and Avid rotors?

Same set up and no issues, try roughing up the pads with sand paper and cleaning the rotors.

almost what cupra said, but you want tp smooth the pads not rough them up. from new BB7 pads are very rough. if you pass them over some wet and dry you'll see the mountains and valleys on them. its this unevenness that makes them vibrate. smooth them off which will also increase the braling area. check that the calipers are straight to the rotors. clear the rotors and ride. it won't be an instant fix but it does get better.

Cover the rotors with grease. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

also, when you get to the cleaning of rotors bit, this is apparently best done by going for a muddy ride.

That sounds like a fantastic tip, thanks. There are those who say that proprietary cleaning products should be used, but we both know that that's bunkum ๐Ÿ™‚
