Brendan Fairclough’s latest YouTube video features an unreleased GoPro that looks a lot like the GoPro Hero 9 with front-facing display.
Fans of the latest technology will no doubt have seen various GoPro Hero 9 leaks over the past few weeks, but this could be the first sighting of the unreleased GoPro update to date.
Whereas the GoPro Hero 8 followed the tried and tested GoPro formula, though in a smaller form factor and with some impressive tech updates, the GoPro Hero 9 is rumoured to launch with a new front-facing colour display making it ideal for vlogging.
Tech websites have published images of the new Hero 9 packaging and specs, but we believe that this sighting of the new action camera in Brendan Fairclough’s latest video is the first actual Hero 9 seen in the wild.

As you can see in the video, the camera featured clearly has both front and rear colour displays. The front display is seen for the majority of the time, but we just about make out the rear as Brendog removes it to check out this video.
GoPro Hero 9 rumours
According to technology website Dronedj, the GoPro Hero 9 is set to launch with multiple new features that could improve it for everyday riding footage and for vlogging.
The site claims that the Hero 9 will shoot video at 5k 30fps, stills at 20 mega-pixels and will boast a new slow-motion feature that shoots at 240 fps. Just as we saw with the Hero 8, the 9 won’t need a separate case for fitting to accessories and the camera will be waterproof at 33 feet.
Other major updates include HyperSmooth 3.0, TimeWarp 3.0 and a new larger 1720mAh battery along with the possibility of a new fast charge feature.
