and from single track magazine I'm out
0:05
on this glorious day to show you this
0:07
with a brand new white tea is oh now if
0:10
you look at white tea and thing hey
0:11
there a gravity brand they've got a
0:13
downhill team they have freeride legends
0:16
they've got downhill bikes they've even
0:18
got a gravity orientated ebike well yeah
0:20
they cover all those bases but one base
0:23
they didn't cover was lightweight
0:24
cross-country trail bikes that can still
0:27
be a bit playful on the down and this is
0:30
exactly what the ID's Oh is designed to
0:32
be it's a full carbon fiber bike with a
0:35
hundred and thirty mile travel front and
0:37
rear and it has a lockout on the rear -
0:40
which is it's not something we would
0:41
expect from whitey now onwards he
0:44
designed me as though they were looking
0:45
for to create something that is fast
0:48
agile and sharp and whitey is saying
0:50
well that's pretty much like the katana
0:52
blade shown in Japanese movies and
0:54
Japanese anime and actually when they
0:57
were creating this they created an anime
0:59
for it to to show off how fast and agile
1:02
this bike is meant to be we can take a
1:03
look at that here
1:10
so yeah that's just a clip but you can
1:12
see the full video a cool launch video
1:14
over on the white seal a YouTube channel
1:16
anyway back to the bike it's a fast
1:19
agile trail weapon it's an effective
1:21
trail weapon can't believe I said that
1:23
what it is it's a great fun bike and a
1:25
lot of fun to be ridden even on tame
1:28
cross-country trails which is what I've
1:30
been doing join the walk down now one
1:32
thing that the is er has that I didn't
1:34
think I would use is the lockout
1:36
now although whitey have given this bike
1:38
top suspension front and rear the
1:40
lockout is actually a rock shock system
1:42
it's a twist lock like grip shift
1:44
lockout and actually what you do is you
1:47
twist to open up the suspension and you
1:49
press it to lock it out now the
1:52
suspension platform if you let if left
1:54
open is extremely stable there's a great
1:56
pedal platform there and even if you get
1:58
out of the saddle and sprint there's
2:00
very little bobbing but for those times
2:02
when you are very very smooth trails or
2:04
in a transition from road on to trail
2:07
heating that lockout can really stiffen
2:09
things up and really helps the bike
2:11
sprint along get some speed now usually
2:14
I'm not the kind of person who wants to
2:15
get the fastest climbing time but the
2:18
more I've ridden this bike the more I
2:19
want to push myself and get fitter and
2:21
go faster uphill and using that lock has
2:24
enabled me to knock a few seconds off
2:25
those climbs so the it's those full
2:28
carbon frame has full internal cable and
2:31
hose routing there's also a complement
2:33
of rubber protection on the rear end to
2:35
stop any chain slap and ensure that this
2:37
bike is super quiet and sounds so smooth
2:41
on the descents the rear end has double
2:44
sealed bearings for long life and each
2:47
of those bearings has a one-sided access
2:50
port so you only need one tool to get at
2:52
those and undo them when they need
2:53
servicing now whitey are offering the
2:56
Izzo in a range of build starting from
2:58
two thousand five hundred ninety nine
3:00
pound wing 13 kilograms that's really
3:03
light for such a cheap bike affordable
3:05
bike sorry all the way up to a five
3:07
thousand six hundred ninety nine power
3:09
with SRAM axis while are shifting and
3:11
access wireless
3:13
reverb that weighs in at 12 kilograms
3:15
now that top the range bike is limited
3:18
to just 150 units once they're gone this
3:21
is the top of the range
3:22
baby this is the pro race it whilst
3:24
weighs 12.1 kilograms it comes with a
3:27
full carbon wheel set cub handlebar
3:30
yeah and it's SuperDuper lightweight and
3:32
fun even climbing now if you've been
3:35
following me a lot recently you will
3:37
have seen that I've been testing a lot
3:38
of ebikes now I love you bikes but the
3:40
problem is although they're great
3:42
further aerobic fitness they're good for
3:44
upper body strength they do weaken your
3:46
legs a little bit but on such a
3:47
lightweight bike with fast rolling tires
3:49
and lightweight wheel so I was able to
3:52
climb just as quickly as on this as I
3:54
can on an e by maybe perhaps but over
3:59
time riding this bike on mellowed treta
4:01
terrain and you know taking those climbs
4:04
and exploring a little bit i've got
4:05
fitter i've got faster and i've really
4:08
enjoyed the agility of this short travel
4:10
bike now don't go thinking that this is
4:13
just a cross-country bike you can see
4:15
here in these clips that whitey are
4:16
provided the ears oh can really handle
4:19
the rough stuff too now i've not tried
4:21
that myself
4:22
i really want to but after the pandemic
4:24
is over we'll get an is o in again and
4:26
i'm gonna hit those enduro trails to see
4:28
just how good it is but i have no doubt
4:30
in my mind that it will be very very
4:32
good now the frame itself as I've
4:35
already mentioned 130 ml travel front
4:37
and rear we have a 66 degree head angle
4:39
which is pretty slight for this kind of
4:40
bike and a 77 degrees C tube angle that
4:43
can be adjusted by 0.5 of a degree with
4:46
the flip chip and that also increases
4:48
the drop from 35 to 40 so there's a bit
4:51
of a wiggle room there with the geometry
4:53
and the overall design of the bike is
4:56
very different from what we've seen from
4:58
YT so far on the Jeff C and the capra we
5:02
see that horizontal shock position are
5:05
on the is over they've gone for a
5:06
vertical shock position now the reason
5:08
why whitey have done that is because
5:09
they say the vertical shock position for
5:12
this type of bike suits this better it
5:14
doesn't mean that the new capper are the
5:16
new Jessie of gonna go that way oh I
5:18
suppose unless that suits that frame
5:20
design it just that means that this for
5:23
the suspension system suits this frame
5:25
better than another one and it also
5:27
means that we've got more room in the
5:28
front triangle for a water bottle and
5:30
we've also got space here for a tool as
5:32
well we've got two bosses there as well
5:34
speaking of that water bottle
5:35
is the larger first master 6000 I think
5:38
I think it's 835 milliliter water bottle
5:40
and uses that call magnetic fit lock
5:43
connector so really easy to unconnect
5:46
and pop back on while riding now this is
5:50
a medium sized bike because I wanted a
5:52
box fresh bike I went for a medium and
5:54
that has a reach of 450 millimeters now
5:57
if that's not particularly long I would
5:59
normally go for a large which has 472
6:01
millimeters but to be honest I've really
6:04
enjoyed that shorter bike for its
6:06
playful puppy riding especially while
6:08
I've just been riding on smoother
6:10
terrain or long fields and not really
6:12
been doing any gnarly stuff so it's made
6:15
tame riding fun again and actually
6:18
because it's so lightweight and it has
6:20
so little suspension it's so easy to
6:22
bunnyhop and clear things on my first
6:24
ride out I cleared a set of routes that
6:27
I would normally really lift hard on my
6:29
e bike to clear but on this it needed no
6:32
effort at all and I was just gliding
6:34
through the air very very fun very very
6:36
capable bike and I can't wait to get it
6:38
back after the pandemic to ride it some
6:40
more as already mentioned this is the
6:42
pro race spec model it costs four
6:44
thousand five hundred ninety nine pounds
6:46
it weighs 12.1 kilograms
6:47
it comes with Fox factory suspension at
6:50
Fox 34 on the front it comes with a lock
6:53
out on the rear and a Fox transfer drop
6:55
post with 125 millimeters of drop larger
6:58
frames have more drop sizes are from
7:00
small to double X L and I think that's
7:03
everything covered
7:04
so yeah the Y T is o is available for
7:07
pre-order on the YT website now I
7:09
believe you can head over there and
7:11
check out some more details but if you
7:13
have any questions about this bike
7:14
please feel free to let me know in the
7:16
comments below if you enjoyed this video
7:18
give me a thumbs up and don't remember
7:19
it don't don't remember yeah remember
7:21
remember to subscribe bye bye
