Keith Bontrager coined the now famous design principal, “strong, light, cheap – pick two!”. Starting out as a frame builder designing and building some of the most iconic mountain bikes of the 1980’s he eventually sold his name to the Trek corporation in 1995.
Keith still plays an active part in the design and production of the components that bear his name. The Bontrager name is not just signature, it’s now a part of the history of mountain biking.
On this index page you will find archived stories, opinions, first looks and reviews of Bontrager gear. From helmets, tyres and clothing to wheels, bars and more – even the occasional article on the man himself.
