We are really jazzed to get these bags into the Singletrack Merch store for you. They are not only really handy bags, they are also doing things that other bags cannot do.
The really cool thing about these bags is how they are made. You see, they are made in Malawi using recycled materials. Cycle of Good train tailors in the world’s poorest places so they can earn a decent living and support their families. All the money Cycle of Good make pays for childcare and non-profit social enterprise in Malawi. And that is why they are called “Cycle Of Good”.
The interior print is ablaze with stunning vibrant colour. “Downstairs Tom” a young chap who works here at Singletrack actually made a strange gasping noise, bordering on a wee scream when he first opened the bag!
The outer colours are a little tamer than the pictures suggest. the “pink” is not pink, its much more a “burnt coral” colour.
Cycle Of Good tell us:
The Katundu is made from canvas and recycled inner tube by our fairly paid tailors in Malawi. This courier bag is perfect for everyday use, small enough to use around town and big enough for the office or taking on holiday.
Our courier bag is strong, piratical and looks great. It comes in two attractive colours, a dusky pink or an eye catching blue, lined with African wax cotton, has an internal pocket and divider, is shower proof to protect from splashes and rain, with a strong cotton canvas strap that is fully adjustable so you can wear the bag across your body.
The star of the show is of course, the recycled inner tube flap which closes with a nifty magnetic catch (and has “Singletrack” etched on to it)
Some of our recycled inner tubes have manufacturers writing or the odd puncture repair patch meaning no two courier bag will ever be identical.
